Only well-documented collections with specimens in good physical condition, with acquisition records, and notes on preservation and handling, will be accepted. A formal request to submit material to the Anatomy Center should be made in writing. This request should include a complete list as possible of all specimens and supporting documentation.

Though the Carnegie Collection's primary focus is on the embryonic period; we will accept specimens as old as 10 weeks. Both sectioned and un-sectioned specimens in good condition will be accepted. If the material has been sectioned, any information about the sectioning process would be appreciated. If submitting un-sectioned material, please enclose a description of current containers and preservation medium. Please include any notes about the history of the specimen, do not include patient names. To facilitate data gathering about the specimens, there are forms available.

Please read about preferred preparation and preservation techniques.
